Erman Özbaşaran’s new works that will be presented at the fair this year serve as a continuation of his solo show “The Prospect of Hope” held at Art On İstanbul in 2017. The artist works with oil on canvas and draws inspiration from architectural detail photographs he takes from ancient ruins. In his compositions Erman Özbaşaran creates planes and scenes that are falling or caught mid-air. He examines the relationship with nature, history and culture in his compositions that are joined by ancient ruins and abstract landscapes.
